Challenging Relationship Statements
January 29th, 2007 by Ernie
Here are a few challenging statements about love relationships:
• When we’re in love, we are experiencing our own beauty.
• Relationships don’t work well if you expect much from them.
• If you use a relationship to feel better, you’ll both wind up feeling worse.
• If you keep a secret in your relationship, the secret is that you believe you can be ruined, and it isn’t true.
• If you are fighting in your relationship to be loved and seen, you’d be better off moving back in with your parents. (Ouch!)
• When you believe you have a problem because of your partner’s problems, you have a real problem.
• Every attempt you make to change your partner keeps you from changing.
• If you believe your loved one makes you happy, you could be in for a tragic end, like Romeo & Juliet.
• If you need a promise to stay forever, you will probably shorten the length of the relationship.
• If you understand true commitment, you’re more likely to remain for the rest of your life.
• Everything unconscious in you will stand ready to entangle with a loved one.
• If you don’t know who you really are, you can’t have a satisfying relationship with someone who does.
• If you don’t know who you really are, you will likely have troubled relationships with others who also don’t know.
I trust these statements are fun, challenging, and worth your consideration…
Lovely and true.
Boy, I sure liked this list! Well said. Thank you.
